Philippa Kaye Company creates original dances to make connections within, and contemplative spaces for, our wonderfully absurd transitory existence.

Led by artistic director and choreographer Philippa Kaye, the company of dancers, composers, and visual artists has brought people together in theaters, galleries, schools, gardens, and a zoo.

The imaginative worlds of the performances spring from such physical phenomena as chaos theory, fractals, sound waves, and animal behavior, as well as the emotional state of our bodies in connection to technology.  Philippa looks for the movement invention and humor that emerges from pollinating recognizable dance forms with empirical inquiry.  The physical puzzles that develop present human failure as well as virtuosity.
